Description

Celery belongs to the umbellifer family. As the name suggests, the stalks are harvested. Celery has a long germination period, requires warmth and is one of the more demanding crops.

The plants are sensitive to cold and thrive best in nutrient-rich, humus-rich soil with a regular supply of water during the main growing season. When sowing, only lightly press down and water the seeds, as they need a light stimulus to germinate.
