The root parsley is a subspecies of parsley with a thickened, elongated, pointed beet. It belongs to the botanical family of umbelliferae (Apiaceae).
Herkunft:
Central and Northern Europe
Tuberous parsley thrives best in a warm and sunny place, but it can also cope with a semi-shady spot. The soil should be rich in humus and deep. Loamy soils are particularly suitable for cultivation. Soils that are too compacted or stony, on the other hand, are not recommended, as they can lead to deformation of the beet. When cultivating, it is also important to pay attention to crop rotation, because root parsley is incompatible with itself and other umbellifers (carrots, fennel, parsnip, etc.). Therefore, it should be grown again in the same place after three years at the earliest.
