Seasoning herb with an anise-like aroma, used in Japan for pickled vegetables (e.g. cucumbers). In Korea eaten raw with meat/garlic. The plants are very vigorous and productive in suitable, sunny locations, up to 1.30m. Pre-cultivation: April-May Planting out: Early June Harvest: from July annual
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
The plant is a short-day plant and tends to bloom early when pre-cultivated. The flower shoots should be removed early here, otherwise the taste quality suffers significantly. If possible, outdoor or direct balcony cultivation is recommended.
