The two-pored Egerling (Agaricus bisporus syn. Agaricus brunnecens, Agaricus hortensis), often known as a cultivated mushroom and also marketed under various names (e.g. Portobello), is a species of mushroom in the genus Agaricus. It is the most widely cultivated edible mushroom in the world and can appear in different size and color variations through cultivation. White varieties are sold under the names "champignon", "white button mushroom", "white boletus", "cultivated mushroom" or "cultivated mushroom", while brown mushrooms (Agaricus bisporus var. hortensis) are known as "brown button mushroom", "brown boletus" or also as "porcini mushroom" or "boletus mushroom".
