The delicate flower panicles of Veronica Cupido have a distinct pink and blue shimmer. A magnificent perennial that will create a great effect in your garden. Veronica cupido (Veronica spicata), also known as speedwell, shines in herbaceous borders and containers with its many flower candles. The magnificent panicles are ideal as cut flowers & add zest to any vase. (Veronica spicata) Veronica cupido flowers from June to September, the hardy, perennial shrubs grow to a height of 90 cm & love a sunny to semi-shady location. The plant requires little care and little water. If you plant the tubers of this Veronica or speedwell in the garden, you can enjoy the sight of the plants' different-colored flowers from spring to autumn. (Veronica spicata)
Non hybrid
Frostproof
When planting, a planting distance is given that corresponds to about half of the later growth height. For low or creeping speedwells, 25 to 30 cm from the neighbor is sufficient. Taller species are given a little more space and a distance of 40 to 50 cm is calculated. They should only be planted as deep as they were previously in the pot. Heavily rooted pot balls should be loosened before planting. This makes it easier for the plant to grow. Compact species with felty or hairy leaves should be surrounded with coarse gravel. These plants are sensitive to moisture and will rot as soon as they lie on the moist soil surface for a long time.
