Indian spinach is a 1 to 9 foot tall, twining, herbaceous, heat-loving plant. Makes also as a climbing ornamental plant what. The leaves need to be cooked only very briefly and contain important vitamins, minerals and trace elements, such as magnesium, calcium, phophore, iron and carbohydrates. They can also be eaten raw. Also for Asian cuisine. In the Orient they are used to make soups and sauces creamy.
