Blue-black cocktail tomato. A blue tomato variety that is ideal for growing in pots, hanging baskets and containers on balconies or terraces. During growth, the fruits have a bluish shimmer; when ripe, they turn black and the flesh is dark red. The plants reach a height of approx. 25 - 30 cm. Many juicy, slightly sweet fruits form on the small bushes. As with all Indigo tomato varieties, a full sun position promotes the blue content and color intensity of the fruit. Robust and very high-yielding! This means that many decorative cocktail tomatoes with a pleasantly aromatic, slightly sweet taste can be harvested from July to October.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Sowing depth: 0.5 cm, keep moderately moist. Germination temperature: 20-25°C. Germination period: 5-14 days. From germination: keep in a very bright and cool place, preferably with plant light. Pricking out: from the 2nd pair of true leaves in nutrient-rich soil. The more direct sunlight, the blacker the shoulders. Water and fertilize regularly. Tomatoes require a lot of light, warmth, water and nutrients. They can be grown from seed on a windowsill from March. The seedlings should be planted deep, up to the first leaf base, so that the root system is enlarged by additional lateral roots. Unlike most other crops, tomatoes should always be planted in the same place. Under-sowing with low-growing plants is a good option.
