'Dorada' is characterized by round, golden-yellow fruits with a very juicy-fruity aroma. With about 15-25 g, the tomatoes have a bite-sized size. The soft, burst-resistant fruits have a skin that can hardly be tasted and literally "melt" in your mouth. It is a new type of cocktail tomato, which was specially bred as an outdoor tomato for the amateur sector. The very precocious variety was developed as part of an organic new breeding project at the University of Göttingen and has improved resistance to late blight. The robust plants with medium foliage density are equally recommended for outdoor and protected cultivation.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Germination in 10-14days at 18-24°C. Sowing from mid-February: the aim is to plant flowering after the last frost. Prick out and pot after the formation of the first foliage. The plant should be covered with soil until just below the cotyledons to allow sufficient root development. Outdoor tomatoes can be grown outdoors without protection. They should be regularly pricked out and tied up. Adequate nutrient supply increases yield, but Dorada performs well even with reduced fertilization and irrigation.
