The Gajo de Melon is an uncomplicated, colorful cherry tomato. Fruits in several colors are formed on one plant! You can harvest orange to dark yellow, striped, marbled and red fruits! The first fruits are oval, later ones round, the last ones flat-round up to approx. 25g. The fruity tomatoes have little acidity and are therefore very sweet. The plant is robust, hardly susceptible to disease and fruits reliably even in cool temperatures. Extremely vigorous growth. Probably comes from California.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Medium-early ripening period, approx. 50-80 days. Grow as a single shoot, pinch out accordingly. Water the tomatoes: Depending on whether you are pre-sowing or direct-sowing tomatoes, and depending on the location and variety, you will need to water your tomato plants differently often. Tomatoes can develop very deep roots that can even draw water from the groundwater. In this case, you hardly need to water them, if at all. Pay attention to the leaves, if they hang limp you should water your tomato plants. The soil dries out more quickly, especially in pots, raised beds and raised beds, so you will need to water them more often.
