Description

The seed vetch or forage vetch belongs to the legume family (Fabaceae) and is a small-grained, annual, herbaceous, happy green manure and protein-rich forage plant that grows up to 80 cm high. Strong weed suppression due to high green mass formation, strong rooting of the soil, good soil rigidity, high nitrogen enrichment. Not hardy. Self-pollinating. Self-propagating. Insect friendly.

Origin:

Mediterranean and West Asia

Growing tips

Before sowing, lightly loosen the soil and rake it smooth, then sow in a wide cube and work it in. Freezes safely in winter and is easily incorporated into the soil. Do not plant before or after other legumes. Good with cereal crops. (From Bingenheimer Saatgut).
