Yauhtli (or Yautli) is a species of Tagetes native to Mexico and Central America. Also known as marigold, pericon and Mexican tarragon, the herb of this plant has a fantastic aroma reminiscent of woodruff. It is an important ingredient in genuine Aztec cocoa preparations. It also tastes delicious as a tea or spice.
