Kohlrabi is a fast-growing spring vegetable from the cruciferous family. The above-ground tuber is a thickening of the stem. There are many different varieties that differ in color (green, white, purple), shape (oval, round, flat-round), size, cultivation period and time of cultivation.
F1 Hybrid
Not frost resistant
Due to its short cultivation period, kohlrabi is a good pre-crop, intercrop and post-crop. An even water supply is important for good tuber formation. Drought or uneven moisture promotes lignification. You should take a cultivation break of 3-4 years from other cruciferous plants. Harvesting takes several weeks, as not all tubers ripen at the same time.
