Brunswijker white cabbage (Brassica oleracea): Brunswijker appears as a medium-late, heavy fall white cabbage with a platy head on a short stalk. It cuts well and is perfect for sauerkraut production. Habitat: medium-heavy, humus-rich loamy soil, even soil moisture, preferably protected from wind Sowing: from April, sowing depth: 0.5 to 1 cm, if the plants have 3 or more leaves, stagger to about half a meter apart, germination temperature: 15 to 18° C, germination period: 6 to 8 days Care: chop, fertilize and water during dry periods Harvest: for white cabbage, cut off the outer leaves and harvest the firm heads. Specifics: if the white cabbage is to be stored for a longer period of time, dig it out with the root and hang it upside down in a cool cellar.
