Portuguese cabbage with open, loose heads. The very large leaves have pronounced veins and a strong, thick midrib. Tolerates some frost.
Non hybrid
Frostproof
Cabbage prefers humusy, calcareous, deep, slightly heavier soil in a sunny location. An even supply of water and nutrients is important during growth. When planting seedlings, the soil should be moist and the seedlings should be watered well. A final harvest in winter is possible, as cabbage tolerates sub-zero temperatures. However, to be on the safe side, you can still cover it with a fleece.
