Winner 2018 in the heat tolerance category! One of the few varieties that really thrived in the hot summer and coped with very little water. Red egg-shaped winter tomato/dried tomato with a fruity aroma, firm skin, a variety from Apulia. The bush tomato grows to a height of approx. 80 cm and does not need to be pruned. Suitable for drying, whole bunches can be stored upside down in dry, airy places and consumed over the winter, at least in Puglia. If watered too much, the fruits become watery and lose their flavor intensity. (Source: https://tomaten-aus-kurpfalz.de/produkt/tondino_di_galatina/)
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Due to their determinate growth, vine tomatoes do not need to be thinned out. They should nevertheless be given a support to bear the weight of the fruit. - Watering tomatoes: Depending on whether you are pre-sowing or direct-sowing tomatoes, and depending on the location and variety, you will need to water your tomato plants differently. Tomatoes can develop very deep roots that can even draw water from the groundwater. In this case, you hardly need to water them, if at all. Pay attention to the leaves, if they hang limp you should water your tomato plants. The soil dries out more quickly, especially in pots, raised beds and raised beds, so you will need to water them more often.
