Description

The fruits grow on bushy, approx. 1 m high plants, which are also very suitable for the balcony garden in a pot (approx. 20 l). The rather small beef tomatoes taste wonderfully sweet with a pleasant acidity, spicy and they are so beautiful to look at. Bright green, slightly yellowish when ripe, with dark stripes. The foliage of this variety is carrot-shaped and finely feathered, so it also has a high ornamental value. Breeding by Fred Hempel. Picture and text source: Eifeltomate.de

Growing tips

This variety is relatively robust and can be grown very well outdoors in good summers and favorable locations. It grows taller in the greenhouse than in the open field. If only one shoot is left, it will develop into a rather tall-growing vine tomato. In good summers, it grows very well outdoors without protection, but it is still recommended to always provide light protection if possible, e.g. with a roof overhang or similar. The plants do not need to be thinned out, but if it gets too dense, you can remove a shoot or leaves to allow everything to aerate well. Suitable for outdoor use.
