Description

Black Truffle tomato is a very tasty black tomato from Siberia (also known as Japanese Black Trifele or Japonskij Black Truffle). It is a medium-sized stake tomato (about 120 cm in height) whose pear-shaped fruits can weigh up to 200 g and take on a dark reddish-brown to almost black color when exposed to strong sunlight. The flesh is deep dark red, firm to cut and has an intense and sweet aroma. This variety is very hardy, can handle lower temperatures and rain, and is quite resistant to fungal diseases, making it well suited for outdoor cultivation. (From chili-shop24.com)

Growing tips

You can grow Black Truffle tomatoes indoors, in a greenhouse and also outdoors. The optimal germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C and germination occurs after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up germination by presoaking the seeds overnight in a damp cloth. You should plant out the pre-pulled plantlets only after the last frost. (From chili-shop24.de)
