De Berao is a vigorous, hardy variety with red, medium-sized, elongated-oval fruit weighing about 60 g. Mild aromatic taste. Cut-resistant and good shelf life. Also suitable as a salad tomato. Fully ripe, especially popular as a sour tomato. Ideal for sauces, soups, marrow production, preserving, marinating and drying. Good tolerance to late blight and brown rot. Suitable for outdoor use. Can grow over 3 m tall in places. Weather resistant.

Germination at 18-24°C after 10-14 days. Climbing aid is needed. Besides the red De Berao, there is also a pink, yellow and dark red/brown/black De Berao. Further cultivation tips at the species stake tomato.
