Ramallet is a medium-sized, red, old tomato variety from the 16th century that is still traditionally grown in Mallorca today. It is said to have originated in Mexico. This small beef tomato has a sweet, spicy aroma. Due to its slightly thicker skin, it can be stored for a long time and is hung on a string to dry in Spain. A very good aromatic sour tomato that is also suitable for eating directly on bread (grated tomato). Late ripening, can be taken out of the ground with the root and hung upside down to ripen (until winter).
