The Indigo Apple tomato is a beautiful, high-yielding, flat-round tomato that develops black-purple shoulders when exposed to sunlight. The shady sides are green when unripe and ripen to an intense red. The burst-resistant fruits, weighing approx. 100 g, have an intense, sweet tomato flavor. The high anthocyanin content (purple coloring) makes them particularly healthy.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Cover the seeds only lightly with soil (max. 5 mm). The optimum germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C and germination takes place after 8-14 days. To speed up germination, soak the seeds overnight in a damp cloth. Only plant out the pre-germinated plants after the last frost. Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilized, well-drained soil that is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be placed in a sunny, sheltered spot with at least 6 hours of sunlight, preferably more.
