The stick tomato Yellow of Thun is a very early ripening, robust and fruity tasting tomato variety with a refreshing acidity. Yellow of tuna is popular for salads or for direct consumption. The fruits weigh up to 50 g and reach a diameter of about 4 cm.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Germination in 8-15 days at 20-26°C. Yellow of tuna originates from Switzerland and is therefore ideally suited for outdoor growing. Despite its area of origin, it is important to accustom it slowly to our weather. Thus, after the Ice Saints, from the middle/end of May, it can be outside during the day and indoors at night. The acclimatization period should last about 7 days before it moves completely outdoors from the end of May. In order to be able to transport the plant to warmer rooms if necessary due to weather conditions, keeping it in pots can be advantageous. Further anabout tips with the species stake tomato.
