Bottle tomato from Peru. Old variety. Also known as "Cornue des Andes" or "red bull's horn". Forms elongated, tapered fruits up to 15 cm long with a fruity-sweet aroma, similar in shape to a pointed bell pepper. Can form fruits weighing up to 300 g. Thin skin and seedless. Largely burst resistant. Good for salads or sauces. Grows up to 2 m tall. For greenhouse or sheltered outdoor use.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Should be regularly pruned out. The plant likes to curl the leaves and sometimes makes a rather sickly impression, but this is normal and it continues to bear fruit.
