Spicy thyme smells strongly spicy and tastes tart and aromatic with a mild, peppery pungency. Fresh leaves can be harvested well into the winter. The small leaves are fairly easy to remove from the woody stem. Bee-friendly.
F1 Hybrid
Frostproof
Loves a sunny, dry location with sandy, chalky soil. In the garden, the spicy thyme overwinters with protection, e.g. fir branches. Particularly easy to care for and requires little fertilizer and water. Light germinator - only press the seed lightly. Always keep the soil slightly moist, but not wet. Water as soon as the soil is dry. Fertilize sparingly or only lightly with compost or organic fertilizer. It is recommended to prune the shoots well in spring so that new, tender shoots can grow back.
