Fast-growing plant with striking pink to purple young leaves. It is used in a similar way to spinach or chard and can grow over 2 m high.
Sunny to semi-shady location promotes rapid growth. -Harvest young leaves regularly → promotes new shoots. -Plant can grow very tall, so leave enough space. -Seeds itself easily if seed heads are left standing. -Good alternative to spinach in summer, as it is more heat tolerant.
