Description

Evergreen or deciduous climbing shrub, known for its highly fragrant flowers (white to yellowish) and decorative berries. Popular on fences, trellises and pergolas.

Growing tips

Provide climbing support such as trellis, pergola or fence. Plant young plants in spring or fall. Sun to partial shade, humus-rich soil. Water regularly, especially in the first year. Pruning after flowering promotes new shoots and vigorous growth. Fragrant flowers attract bees and other pollinators. Fruits mostly ornamental or bird food, not recommended for humans.
