The fresh leaves before flowering are the best and most aromatic. The whole plant is non-toxic. Only when young can it be confused with ground ivy or lesser celandine, both of which are edible. The intense garlic smell when rubbing the leaves clearly identifies rocket. It is a member of the cruciferous family and is related to herbs such as field mustard, shepherd's purse and barbara.
Taproot mostly 60-80 cm high Cold germinator Almost all trees form symbiotic relationships with mycorrhizal fungi, which are gradually destroyed by the garlic rocket in the long term. Direct large-scale planting under trees can therefore lead to damage to the tree population under certain circumstances.
