The crocus chrysanthus Gipsy Girl belongs to the botanical or wild crocus variety. Its bright yellow flowers with brown stripes bring an early and lush spring into your garden. A colorful mix of early-flowering wild crocuses has proven to be particularly bee-friendly. So start your own crocus meadow for the eye and to preserve biodiversity. With a high nectar and pollen value, the crocus meadow is of high nutritional value for both honey bees and wild bees. Gipsy Girl grows to a height of around 10 cm and often flowers as early as February. It is particularly effective between low perennials and under sparse shrubs and is a real feast for the eyes after many gray winter days. Always plant the bulbs in larger groups to achieve the desired color effect. The great advantage of wild crocuses is that they are prolific. This creates a fantastic carpet of crocuses in spring over the years. As long as the foliage of the crocus meadow is still green and reproduction is not yet complete, it should not be mowed, as the sea of flowers should return even more abundantly next spring.
