The bitterroot is preferably suitable for containers and has pinkish white flowers. It prefers well-drained, fresh soil that is sensitive to lime and requires a semi-shady location. It is particularly effective in rock gardens as a garden accent. Bitterroot is preferably hardy, strengthens the plant and allows it to grow sufficiently. It is planted outdoors at a distance of 10 to 20 cm and only requires light watering in midsummer to maintain flowering.
