Sedum telephium 'Herbstfreude' is made up of many star-shaped individual flowers. They stand on firm, thick stems and give the plant a powerful appearance as a whole. Sedum telephium 'Herbstfreude' flowers from the beginning of August to the end of September. It prefers a sunny position in loose, nutrient-rich soil. This bee-friendly perennial enchants with its beautiful appearance all year round. Busy bumblebees and bees appreciate the rich food supply of the perennial known as stonecrop. On dry days, Tall Stonecrop 'Herbstfreude' requires sufficient watering. The perennial is ideal for a colorful group with other varieties of sedum, with various flowering perennials and with autumn asters. Its voluminous growth requires a planting distance of 50 to 60 cm from other perennials.
