Non-climbing, open growth, abundant, early fruit set. Long, cylindrical, slightly curved fruits with delicate, light marbling. Fine and tasty. Medium early.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Sowing about 2-3 weeks before planting, so not before April. Harden off before planting. Likes warm, wind-protected locations. Sensitive to frost. Several plants can pollinate each other. Harvest regularly so new fruit will form continuously. Fertilize and water regularly. Follow crop rotation. Home-grown seeds are strongly discouraged for zucchini because the toxic bitter substance cucurbitacin can form. Mixed cultivation with borage promotes pollination. Pumpkins and zucchinis of the same species can interbreed, zucchini can become bitter and inedible or poisonous (due to so-called curcurbitacins).
