Proven variety. Long, dark green-light green striped fruits. Whitish, firm flesh. Robust and high yielding. Also in cold, wet weather. Vine-less. Harvest until first frost. Can be stored for up to 12 weeks.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Germination after 7-14 days at 18-22°C. Harden off before planting. Likes warm, wind-protected locations. Sensitive to frost. Several plants can pollinate each other. Harvest regularly (from 16 cm) so that new fruits form continuously. Fertilize and water regularly. Follow crop rotation. Home-grown seeds are strongly discouraged for zucchini because the toxic bitter substance cucurbitacin can form. Mixed cultivation with borage promotes pollination. Pumpkins and zucchinis of the same species can interbreed, zucchini can become bitter and inedible or poisonous (due to so-called curcurbitacins).
