Sweet, juicy fruit, high fruit quality and a reliable yield year after year - that's what the 'Große Schwarze Knorpelkirsche' sweet cherry has to offer. And the advantages of this traditional variety, which has been known since 1540, are far from over. The strong growth and easy picking are also impressive advantages, which are further enhanced by the low maintenance and few requirements of the 'Große Schwarze Knorpelkirsche' sweet cherry. The ideal cherry for anyone who wants a large harvest with little effort. This very vigorous-growing variety is in no way inferior to its colleagues in terms of its characteristics and at the same time combines the robust charm of a tried-and-tested, vigorous-growing variety with its strong fruit color. The self-fruiting sweet cherry 'Große Schwarze Knorpelkirsche' is easy to care for, has a reliable yield and provides the ambitious hobby gardener with exceptional delicacies. Nevertheless, some fellow varieties should be included in the range as pollinators. The 'Große Schwarze Knorpelkirsche' variety, probably one of the oldest cherry varieties in Germany, is also a real treasure for the cultivator.
