Turnips or rutabagas are true classics in the garden, because they are undemanding to cultivate and thrive in almost any soil. Sunny location is preferred by the round, green-yellowish beets and makes the plants thrive. The distance between plants should be 30x40 cm. In the fall, beets that are still standing should be harvested before the first frost. Turnips can be stored well without frost. The special feature is the sweet taste of the approx. 1.5kg heavy, yellow-fleshed root tubers, which fits excellently into mixed stews and as a vegetable garnish.
