The heat-loving sweet herb is a perennial herbaceous plant that can grow up to 100 cm high. However, in the middle latitudes it needs a frost-free place between 10-15 °C to overwinter. It prefers warm, nutrient-rich and not too hot places. The plant has a sweetening power 30 times stronger than beet sugar.
Origin:
Sweet herb originated in South America and has been used there for many centuries by indigenous peoples as a sweetener and medicine.
A compact plant is achieved by harvesting from the shoot tips. To extend the growing season can be pre-cultivated seeds or cuttings in the spring.
