Australian jelly (also: Australian yellow) is a high-yielding, late-shooting, tender leaf lettuce. The pickling lettuce tastes aromatic, nutty, bitter. Furthermore, this pickling lettuce convinces with its decorative, curly leaves, is best suited for planting in containers and is also available for a very long period.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
In a sunny to semi-shaded location, the seeds can be sown directly from March. The germination temperature should ideally be between 10 and 18 °C during the next 8 to 15 days. Always remove only the outer leaves from plucked lettuce. As long as you leave the heart, new leaves will always be formed. Cultivation in raised beds and balcony boxes very well possible.
