Description

The forget-me-not plant is a robust, low-growing ornamental and fragrant plant from the labiate family. It forms bushy cushions with gray-green, slightly hairy leaves and small blue-purple flowers in summer. When touched or on warm days, the plant emits an intense odor that is unpleasant for many people and animals. It is therefore often planted in flower beds, front gardens or along paths as a natural deterrent against cats and dogs. The plant prefers a sunny to semi-shady location and well-drained, rather dry soil. It is considered relatively easy to care for and copes well with heat and occasional drought.
