Growing tips

- Sunny location: feverfew grows best in full sun, but also tolerates light partial shade. - Well-drained soil: Avoid waterlogging. Sandy-loamy soils are ideal. - Light germinators: Only press the seeds lightly onto the soil and do not cover them with soil or only cover them minimally. - Prune regularly: Pruning after flowering promotes bushy growth and often a second flowering. - Self-seeding: feverfew seeds itself easily. If this is not desired, remove faded flowers early. - Watering: Relatively drought tolerant once established, only water during prolonged drought. - Harvesting for medicinal purposes: Leaves and flowers are best harvested shortly before or at the beginning of flowering. - Pollinator-friendly: The flowers are a good source of food for bees and other insects. 💡 Extra tip: feverfew goes very well in herb or cottage gardens and can also act as a natural companion plant against some insects.
